ABOUT
Notes from the garage floor, not a dispatch desk
Tampa Garage Door Guide explains what a door is doing and what to leave alone. It is a publisher's project for this bay, not a crew that sells springs or routes emergency calls.
Who writes it
Mike Maziarz — Editor
Mike Maziarz writes practical home-service guides for homeowners. These pages explain common problems and what to ask a licensed pro; they are not a substitute for on-site diagnosis.
How we write these guides
- We describe what a door does in humid air, salt near the bay, and summer storms, and we say when to stop touching it.
- We do not invent prices, wind ratings, license titles, flood maps, or building-code section numbers.
- Permit and registration pointers name the City of Tampa, Hillsborough County, and the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
- Springs, cables, photo eyes, and a wet opener keep the same safety rules on every page where they matter.
- If a local office has changed its process, tell us what you found and we will correct the page.
How the site is paid for
Right now the site has no advertising, affiliate links, sponsored placements or paid referrals. If that changes, we will say so on this page and next to any paid link or phone number.
What we are not
We publish guides. We do not sell, install, or repair garage doors, and we do not dispatch a technician. A phone number on a page, if one appears later, is a paid referral to an independent company, not a call to the editor.
